Calling all my brides!!!

I am truly, truly sorry but I am hoping that my all my brides who have made prior appointments with me could sms me back with all their info/details/dates etc to my new hp number 9247 3753.

I truly, truly am sorry but yes, my hp totally crashed and along with it, all the precious info stored in it. Especially my bridal appointments.

So if you have made a bridal appointment with me scheduled any time from now, please please please kindly sms me again at the above number or email me at hennamomma@gmail.com.

A million thanks!!! :)

me! me! meeeeeee....!!! :P

And yes, once in a while, (make that very frequent 'whiles') I like to take out a cone, plonk myself in front of the TV and doodle away...

The thing is, once I start (on myself only!!) I can't seem to stop.
What was supposed to be just a simple pattern on the palm/hand will end up all the way to the elbow..and then some :P

First up, let me be frank.
It's fun and easy when I do it on my own self cos let's face it, I get to take my own sweet time, there's no pressure, no time frame to follow, no onlookers and I get to stop at one hand cos err, that's when the fun ends :P

I dont think I would do this for a bride...unless the price is right.
Heh heh.
kiddin'...

I don't know.
Maybe I will, maybe I won't.
Persuade me? ;)

On my palm.

Photobucket

With paste off, the next day.
Please note : Henna stain varies from person to person and in this case, I left the henna on my palms for 1 hour.
(That was all I can tolerate!)

I dont have the 'after' picture for this, tho'...

This has got to be my favourite pattern to draw on my own hand.
Cos the design seems endless and I can just go on and on and on and on....you get the drift ;)

Bride : Huda/Nuridah

These are originally patterns from Saheli Bridal which these brides requested/chosed and I tried my best to replicate it.

Eternity

I finally, amazingly, found the time/mood/mojo to update this blog.
Like..finally!!! :P

So..

This was done just last Thursday on my bride, Zira :)
It's a variation of the Forever Pattern and I think it's just as sweet.

Photobucket

and another slight variation (the running vines is on her index finger instead) on Suliana.

Hhmm, if the original was called the Forever Pattern, maybe I should just name this Eternity, eh? ;)

apologies

On another note, my sincerest apologies to all who have posted comments/enquiries in this blog over the past months and have not heard any replies from me.

I dont know whether I've mentioned this before but for some quite some time, I have somewhat 'abandoned' this blog (hence the sorry, neglected state is was in) and was more active in my multiply account.

It was only lately that I decided to somewhat come over and dust this place up a little and it was then that I saw those unreplied comments/enquiries.

Once again, my apologies.

Where I can, I will try to answer the questions, okay?:)
But if I dont get round to it, do leave me a note at hennamomma@gmail.com

Okaayy..I just realised something.
The comment option is not enabled for this skin!!
eeekks!
Lemme go rectify that...

Back for a bit

I know.
Major neglect here.

But I think I am going to be back here to...I donno, try to revive this old spot here?;)
Well, I'm starting with the new skin so yeah, let's see what's next....:)

I am still slingin' henna and I have loads of pictures to share but umm, currently, I have three bickering kids who are arguing who gets to put whose toys in the tent right smack in the middle of their room.

Yup.
You heard me rite.
A tent.
In the middle of their room.

Whatever keeps them quiet and happy this long weekend, huh?;)

Thank you, please come again :)

Okaay..where do I start...

Umm, it's been quite some time since I last updated huh?;P
tsst..tsst.

Thing is, I've been focusing more on my multiply site than I do my blogspot here so that's where most of my updates are.
Most.
hee.

Well, go on over to http://hennamomma.multiply.com/ to view my works okay?:)

The other thing is, umm, I'm not sure whether it's prominently indicated where I'm from but yeah, I gotta clarify this once and for all.

I'm here in sunny SINGAPORE! :)

Reason is, I get a lot of henna requests from brides across the causeway in Malaysia and I just wanted to let them know first up that umm, unless they are willing to pay for my flight tickets, hotel accomodation, expenses on top of the bridal rates, heh heh, then nope, I cant cross over to henna them in Malaysia :)

I feel bad when they email me, requesting for rates and available slots etc only to be told that, err, I'm from Singapore and I wont be able to henna them at the end of it all..

Thank you very much for visiting my blog, though and thank you for the lovely comments but yeah, I'm staying put here in Singapore and I am able to only henna the brides here :)

All the same, thank you:)

That said, no, it's not that I wont be updating this blog here anymore...it's just that it's going to get a lil' neglected for a lil' bit more (think Raya preparations, Raya itself = 1 month of visiting, whoohoo...the kids' exams...sigh!)

So till my next update, here's belatedly wishing you a blessed Ramadhan and Salam Lebaran to all the Muslim readers out there :)

Anyways, here's something I came up with.

Let's just say this is the first draft.
You know how it is with 'first drafts'...there's always room for change and lots of amendments to make! :)

And you know how things get done perfectly when there's mojo, rite??
Well...I sooo am having lotsa mojo now but aarrk, no models!! :P

Baah..

The worse thing ever!!

You know, the unthinkable, unimaginable, unwanted *ever* happened to me on the 1st week of May, right smack 2 days before I had a bride.

I had the worse neck cramps, ever!!!
Like...ever!!

I had never had neck cramps that bad and trust me, it was that bad.

It was so bad and so painful that I actually thought (I know, how drama) that I was having a stroke!!
I was like "Oh nooo!! Nooo!!! this cant be happening!! I'm only 34!!! :P

The pain crept up to me slowly but oh-so-surely.
It was really like a creepy crawly slowly making its way thru my veins and before I knew it, I cant move my entire neck and the most part of my shoulders!

So I thought I'd like..you know, let it be and calm myself down, in the fervent hope that it'd go away...
Ouh.
Did I tell you?
I got hit by the fever bug riiiight after that.
Like...perfect, rite?
*rolls eyes*

So I downed panadol after panadol after panadol but neither went away.
Both the fever and the cramps were to accompany me for the next 3 days :(

And I had to 'give away' my bride to my dearest trusted henna kaki ;)
Cos I just couldnt even move!

(Yanti, once again, so sorry for that, ya?)

Well.
The cramp and the fever did go away after that (or I wouldnt be here tap tapping away now, would I?;)
But it sure did give me the scare of my life.
For this year, at least.
Hee.

I dont know how to make sure it wont happen again cos trust me, it's not fun not being able to move your upper torso.
And I sure dread for it to happen again.

I'm not sure what are the preventive measures but I just wanted you guys to know that there are certain things beyond my control which renders me helpless and hopeless.

I've been a bride before (a looooong, looooooong time ago in a galaxy faaaar, faaaaaar away!!) so I know what it must feel like to have one of your 'service providers' bow out on you just days before your big day!!

I sure am not hoping it's going to happen again but if it did and I told you it's neck cramps, I hope you'd understand why I really am not able to henna you as promised :)

Ouh.

And the hubby wasnt helping when he said "it's an ageing thing lah..."

*ggrrrr*

Well, I've a bride tomorrow so I'm off to do some neckxercise, k? ;)
